A few days ago, I started a couple of projects for Hogg Boss Gates. Essentially these guys have come up with a cellular controlled hog trap. When coupled with a cellular camera system like those from Covert or Spypoint just wait for the hogs to show up and enter the trap and only catch them once they are all rounded up. Triggering the system is pretty easy too. You just call the trap from your phone. Pretty cool conTRAPtion if I do say so myself.
At the moment, I’m working on some photos and videos for them as well as setting up their new website. Its still an ongoing project but check them out at www.hoggbossgates.com
Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) annual conference in Lincoln, NE. I first became aware of POMA about a year ago which was around the time of their 2017 conference. Since Lincoln is an 11-12 hour drive for me, it would have been much easier to have made the hour and 45 minute drive to shreveport last year, but other commitments and issues prevented me from attending or joining POMA2017 conference. Instead, I began to watch POMA from a distance.
What I saw was some really engaging images and writing coming from other industry members who were involved with POMA. I saw them interacting with clients similar to some I’ve had and others I was eager to pursue. I also saw the diversity among the members. While the common denominator among the members is the outdoors. Some are more heavily involved in hunting vs fishing. Hiking, shooting sports, and General conservation efforts are also heavily represented.
As the 2018 conference came near, I knew I wanted to attend this year. I had hopes of meeting some other industry peers and since I’ve seen this group interact over the year, I knew forming some relationships was a real probability here. Plus, I’m almost entirely self taught on many of the skills that i’ve gained as a photographer and videographer. So a chance to learn from others in the industry was really important. In the weeks leading up to the conference, I honestly didn’t have the money to attend. I’ve had some other expenses and things come up over the last few months that I just had to take an honest look at weather I should attend or not. So I prayed about it and left it in God’s hands.
Within a few days is when I got a call from Kevin Orthman, POMA’s executive Director. After a brief conversation, he said he liked some of my work and wanted to know if I was still interested in coming. Of course I was, but just couldn’t really make it work. Thats when Kevin offered me a sponsorship. Someone was planning to attend and due to some family issues was not going to make it so there was a spot available. I don’t know if I really contained my excitement on the phone but I jumped at the chance. I truly felt that God had answered my prayers on this issue. We don’t always see immediate answered prayers but this time I did and it was so awesome to have been blessed with this opportunity. Kevin, thank you for the invite.
The conference itself did not disappoint. While I was expecting a little larger attendance I think the number of people there was actually perfect. I felt like I was able to begin to form relationships with several who attended and not just swap cards and move on. The seminars were well attended and the speakers were very knowledgeable on their given area of expertise. I can’t thank the corporate partners and sponsors that helped put the event on enough. I learned some new things and I highly appreciated the opportunity to meet other people in the industry.
So what did I learn. Well one thing that I’ve felt for a while and i’ve seen some signs of is that our industry is struggling. Hunters and Outdoorsmen are declining in numbers. This notion was repeated multiple times over the week with statistics to back it up. God’s country has different meanings to different people. To some, its the rocky mountains. For others, its the Mississippi delta river bottoms. No matter your interpretation, our culture is changing and without new hunters and outdoorsmen, coming in and taking the reins, our outdoor heritage and the conservation of “God’s Country” may not fair very well in the future. I guess, the main take away is that POMA is a great organization in a great industry. It’s doing a lot to help bring a positive light into this industry and It’s one that i’ll be joining for sure. I hope that others in this niche of the outdoor industry will consider joining POMA as well.
In a previous post, I talked about a lot of the work I’ve done with several different non-profit organizations over the last few years. Giving back to others or “Paying It Forward” is so much better than receiving. Not that receiving isn’t good as well. If anyone wants to bake me some chocolate chip cookies, I can assure you that I won’t turn them down. But, when you see the faces of those you are helping light up, it just warms your soul. So as the saying goes, tis better to give than to receive.
One of the organizations that I’ve been the most involved with is Warrior Hunts. Warrior Hunts is an offshoot of the North East Louisiana Veterans Association that is specifically dedicated to getting Americas warriors in the outdoors through hunting and fishing. With the help of dedicated sponsors, the organization has helped make a significant difference in the lives of over 200 veterans during their three year tenure.
Several years ago when I first saw outdoor shows of veterans going on hunts, I thought “well thats a nice thing to do.” After getting involved with Warrior Hunts and other organizations like it, I quickly realized that its more than just a nice way to say thanks. As John Nolan Jr., the director of Warrior Hunts, says “when you combine nature and the presence of warriors, true therapy happens.” Over the last two years that I’ve been involved with Warrior Hunts, I’ve seen that to be a true statement on numerous occasions.
I can give you numerous stories of people who have benefited from Warrior Hunts, but without their permission I won’t post that stuff online.
What I can tell you is that God is at work in Warrior Hunts. I believe that getting our veterans outdoors does two things. First, it gives them something to do in a safe environment. I hear a lot of guys talk about the fact that they have a hard time getting around other people. Warrior Hunts and this type of organization gets veterans out and around other veterans. There is a brotherhood that exists among military veterans and no matter what branch they served in, that bond breaks down walls when they get together. The majority of the sponsors and hosts are more like family than corporate donors. Although Warrior Hunts is a secular organization, the love of Christ is on abundant display at each event. Its impossible to leave one of the hunts and not feel like someone cares. Second, hunting is a primal activity that God ordained. As he told Peter in Acts Chapter 10, “get up peter, kill and eat.” The organized events tap into the adrenalin rush that we call buck fever. They say that the adrenaline rush of combat is a high like no other. I personally have no experience with that, but I do know what its like to have the hair stand up on the back of your neck when a turkey gobbles 20 yards behind you. Warrior Hunts helps fill that void. I’ve heard it said that the intensity level of the hunt is the closest thing there is to chasing a known enemy. Therefore, the positive outcome of a deer hunt helps replace the negative feelings of war. If you could bottle that it would be priceless.
It costs money to run an organization like Warrior Hunts. They need your help. If you can help Warrior Hunts in any way, contact Warrior Hunts at www.warriorhunts.com or like their Facebook Page. Get involved and if you can, donate more than your time. They could put your tax deductible donation to good use.
In the mean time, Check Out this Promo Video that I just finished for Warrior Hunts.
Joseph was one of my best friends in high school. Joseph and I got into a lot of things when we were in high school. Once, we were even members of a Mexican street gang. I bet you didn’t know that one about me.
Actually it was homecoming week during our junior or senior year at Parkers Chapel and each day was a different costume day. Camo day, Blue and white day, Come as you are day. Since whitey tighties aren’t exactly compliant with school dress code, I don’t think we participated in that one. However one day was Twins day. We chose to go as Mexican essays. I’m pretty sure it was Joseph’s idea.
It was epic. I’m sure there are pictures somewhere and if I find any, I’ll update this post. We donned bandanas on our heads and wore blue plaid long sleeve shirts with only the very top buttons fastened. Underneath, we wore white t-shirts. Although, I can’t remember maybe they were wife beater shirts instead. You know what I’m talking about? Those white cotton tank tops. Every wife beater featured on Cops is guaranteed to be wearing a wife beater tank top.
“Bad boy bad boys. What you gonna do when they come for you”
The costume was completely out of norm for us as well as the school with very few hispanics in the area. Especially back in the late 90’s. Its a small rural school that is consistently ranked within the top 10 schools in Arkansas. Inner city gangs have never existed there and likely never will. It was also out of the character for us because we were both good students who were never really in trouble for much of anything. We weren’t thugs at all. We were instantly the talk of the school that day. A vote was held each day to decide who wore the best costume. As I recall, we won by a land slide. The only thing is, apparently since we were “gang related”, some of the teachers disqualified us. We got the shaft. You’d think that especially in a rural school with absolutely no history of gang anything that our sense of humor would have gained us extra points, but apparently that didn’t pan out for us. Regardless, we had fun and we always knew we were the true winners.
My esé Joseph got me into running as well. Joseph was a top athlete. We both played basketball all the time, but Joseph played a lot of basketball and ran like forest gump. But to me and my family, Joseph was more than a friend, he was essentially a ministry. I knew Joseph’s home life wasn’t the best and I knew that he struggled with some issues. I didn’t know every detail but I knew he ran as a way to vent stress. Regardless of what issues were going on, I wanted him to know that Jesus loves him and so do others. So, along with all of the other high school shenanigans we found ourselves in the middle of, we ran. Joseph may disagree, but I wasn’t in horrible shape. Still, Joseph was in a lot better shape and would run circles around me.
As people do, our high school days ended and our college years moved us to different places and we sort of drifted apart. We still talk occasionally, but we just don’t see each other that often. However, I think about the good ole days running with Joseph almost every time I run.
Running with Jesus
Like Joseph, running became my stress reliever. The more I ran, the more I actually grew to enjoy running and I’ve run in numerous 5Ks and a few 10Ks over the years. Although I like to run, I’ve never been a die hard fitness freak. I know there are obvious fitness and health benefits to running that should be my motivation, but for me, running is normally just a stress reliever more than part of a fitness goal. Sometimes I run with other people, but more often than not, I find myself running alone.
To me, running is a great time to just put some good music on, get alone, and talk to God about what ever seems to be going wrong in the world. When I have my “quiet time” with the lord, and just study his word, I often get distracted. My ADD works hard against me. But when I’m running, I’m doing something. I’m not trying to just sit still. Essentially, God has my undivided attention as I pound the pavement.
One song that keeps popping up on my play list as I run is Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) by Chris Tomlin. Now, to be honest, its a little slow for running music, but it keeps popping up and its such a good song that I just let it play. If you’ve never heard the song, Check out these lyrics:
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, amazing grace
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
With lyrics like that, its hard to keep worrying about the problems found in this life. “My chains are gone” Wow! You can’t run if you are bound with heavy chains. You can’t run life race if you are bound by worry and guilt. “My God, my Savior has ransomed me” I’ve been lucky to have very little personal financial debt. I’m not wealthy either but the sin debt that we all owe is like each individual person having to pay off our national debt. Currently thats over $18,251,122,000,000. Talk about a bail out. Even bill gates can’t swing that kinda cash and Jesus paid it all. “the Lord has promised good to me”. No matter what issues you are facing. God has promised that if we will remain focused on him, he will give us the desires of our heart. Now that doesn’t mean we are supposed to get stupid and give all of our money to Joel Osteen or some other greedy televangelist. But it does mean that if we keep running the good race, and God is our focus that our labors are not in vein.
As you can see, running is a great way to relive stress and refocus on whats really important. You just need to get out there and run. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:1-3
Peaks and Valleys
I lived in North West Arkansas for 6-7 years and Fayetteville, AR has some great places to run. There are trails all over the place and lots of them have great scenery. Both natural and man made features throughout the area just make the trails and parks a pleasure to run and that doesn’t even include all of the pretty college girls out running. They say God blessed Texas, but I swear all of those angels go to college in Arkansas. (WooPigSooie)
The climate is phenomenal in NWA. It gets hot there during the summer, but there is usually a breeze blowing and the humidity is much lower than that found here in south Arkansas. After I moved back to south Arkansas, I just got out of the habit of running. I’ve been pretty hit or miss at running for the last couple of years. Even though I began running in Parkers Chapel, I just found running a lot more boring after moving back down here. I also wasn’t under the stress that i found my self in while working in NWA either so I didn’t need the stress relief. Regardless of the reasons, I just lost my enthusiasm for running.
Get Fit to Hunt
Last fall, I got back to running a little. I turned 35 in November and I was determined to run 3.5 miles on my birthday. I made it happen. Now, I can’t say it was graceful and I had to walk part of it, but I got through it. After that, I got busy with hunting season and didn’t run anymore all winter. A friend of mine asked me to go running with him before turkey season started. So, I did. I could barely make 1 mile. Its amazing how fast my cardio level had dropped. I was pretty disgusted, but not defeated. I didn’t really make time for running for a few weeks during turkey season. I spent a couple of weeks in texas and It seems like we walked a thousand miles out there, but no time for running then.
Sometimes it does’t seem like it, but fittness and hunting are closely related. Now, in the south where the opening day of deer season is a national holiday, fitness and hunting don’t really seem to go together. But in mountainous country and especially out west, fitness and hunting go hand in hand. As I’ve gotten more and more involved in the world of Outdoor videography, I can definitely see the need to maintain a higher level of physical fitness than the average redneck. Its one thing to sit in a deer stand snacking on honey buns all day, but its another to try to keep up with a pack of squirrel dogs in the hills of the Ouachita mountains while toting a camera, get good video that isn’t shaky from deep heaving breaths and without hearing those breaths over the audio. Yes, that happened this spring. The video looked like it was filmed during a tornado and I was sucking wind like a tornado too.
I don’t know what hunts and events I’ll get to film this fall. I’ve applied for my Arkansas elk permit. I apply for it every year and haven’t been drawn yet. The odds are tough to get drawn, but hopefully I’ll get the chance to do some elk hunting this fall. Weather its in Arkansas or colorado, if I do get to take part in an elk hunt this fall, all of this running will come in handy. To prepare for it though I’ve got to get back on the top of my fitness game.
Over the last month or so, I’ve been using one of my favorite iPhone Apps called MapMyRun. Its great because it uses the GPS in your phone to keep up with your run stats. At the beginning of the year, I was barely able to run a mile. Jump forward to today and I ran 4.1 miles at a 9:45 pace last week. Its a long way from my peak 5k time of 19:56, but I’m not 20 years old anymore either. I also like the app because it gives you voice updates through your headphones while your listening to music. It tells you your current distance and pace to keep you on track.
Right now, I’m looking for a couple of fun 5Ks and maybe a 10K to run in the coming months. There is a fun run this weekend in El Dorado, AR called the Glow For Children’s 5K. Proceeds benefit Arkansas children hospital. It should be a fun one to do and its definitely a good cause. As I understand it, this is a FUN run. Its heavy on the fun. You can run, walk, jog, or dance if you want to. You can be as serious as you want to be but don’t take yourself too serious. Essentially, the race takes place at night and at different points during the race, instead of handing out water, you get splashed with colored glow in the dark water. If you are in the area, come join me.
I have a lot of fun at what I do and I hope that comes through in a lot of the photos that I post to Instagram and Facebook. Life isn’t all fun and games though. There is hard work too, but I try to make it as much fun as possible.
Here lately, I’ve been asked by a ton of different people, “what do you do for a living?” Well, its a very good question and every answer I give seems to start with “I help people…” The rest of that sentence changes more often than most people change bed sheets and probably more often than some people change underwear.
Sometimes it pays better than others. Regardless; I know I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing and I’m trusting God to work the rest out. Sometimes it doesn’t seem like he shows up when I want him to, but he hasn’t let me down yet.
Simply Blessed
At the expense of sounding conceited, God has blessed me with the ability to do a million different things well. Although, for someone with ADD, sometimes it seems like a curse. The reality though is that, I’m so blessed I can’t fully comprehend at times. I haven’t found many skills that I can’t at least do pretty well. I can’t really say I’m the best there is at many things either, so I’m a jack of all trades in every sense of the word.
Growing up with the parents I have, is why I am the way I am. They have been such a blessing to me and I’m thankful for them always. God’s blessings abound in my life. I’m human and fail often. I’m well aware of that, but I feel like since God has given me these gifts, I need to help as many people as possible. So that is my goal. “I help people…”
What Brought You Here
After college, I bounced around a couple of things and then spent several years working in the corporate world chasing the dollar. Essentially, I ran the R&D and Technical support side of a manufacturing company for several years. My job led me to the company’s management team and my role was part engineering, part marketing. My knowledge base allowed me to connect with those in the field as well as those in the chemistry lab. I met a ton of great people, traveled all over the US, and become some what of an expert in my field. That said, and without going into great detail, it wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine. In the end, there are more important things than the dollar and my time there ended. I sacrificed a lot in an attempt to help other people and missed out on a lot of my Mom’s life as she battled cancer. During my last few months there, it became increasingly clear that the company was moving in a different direction than what God had for me. It was during this time that I started Riverbank Products.
Riverbank Products Begins
When Riverbank Products first lifted off the ground, I had some product ideas that I wanted to work on that I thought would really help people. I also wanted to be able to create a company that would allow me to provide a service to others in the outdoor industry. I chose to focus on the outdoor industry because thats where my passions are centered. If you have to work, you might as well work at something you enjoy and what better than combining a desire to help other people and the Outdoors. Riverbank Products was born and has since become part marketing company and part product development think tank and part consulting firm.
For several years I had thought about how dangerous and difficult it was to use a spotlight at night while running an outboard motor with a tiller handle. The trim controls are never very ergonomic and you have to sit the light down or hold it between your knees to adjust the trim. I’d seen several people adapt the trim controls onto the spotlight but every one I’d seen somehow used duct tape, zip-ties, frayed wires, extension cords and all sorts of homemade contraptions. I knew that I could do better. So, I made a prototype the correct way and found a manufacturing company to produce the light for me. The NightRunner Light was born.
With my first product out there, I needed to market it and my company. Not only that, but it needed to be in a creative way with little to no budget for marketing. So, I created The Frog Giggin’ Tournament Series By Riverbank Products. I wanted to promote my company as well as others in a family friendly environment that would encourage kids to get outdoors. It was great because about all you need to frog gig is a good light. You don’t even need a gig. Most people just catch them by hand. The Frog giggin tournament was it.
With running any event, good sponsors are key. T.P. Outdoors was one of the first sponsors that leaped into the frog giggin tournament series. (Pun Intended) The Petrus family shares my love of the outdoors and a passion for getting others outdoors. Bill Petrus and some of the T.P. Outdoors Adventures crew came out and filmed a show at one of our first frog giggin tournaments. I didn’t know it at the time but a good friendship would be formed from this that would lead to so many other things.
Filming an Outdoor TV Show
I’ve dabbled in video and photography off and on for several years going all the way back to high school and photography even earlier than that. An opportunity to incorporate outdoor videography into Riverbank Products repertoire came up when a dear friend asked me to tag along on his Elk hunt in southern Colorado. One thing lead to another and I’ve now been involved with T.P. Outdoors Adventures show for a couple of years.
Like most guys in the south, I’ve been watching hunting and fishing shows for a long time. The Outdoor channel, Fox News or The Blaze and a little food network or history channel are about the only channels that I really watch. Being a fan of outdoor shows is one thing, but before T.P. Outdoors Adventures, I could have never dreamed that I would actually be involved with a hunting show.
In a way, its because I’ve always seen ego driven people on tv, self promoting and bragging about the deer that they just killed. To be fair, that is a gross generalization and I know that not everyone is like that. I also know that a lot of it is just a sales pitch to keep product endorsement deals going. There are an awful lot of “I”s in this post, but I’m just not that person. At least I try not to be.
I have a hard time selling something that I don’t believe in and I’m not very good at self promoter. I’d rather be honest with people and I love serving others. Helping other people is exactly what happens on T.P. Outdoors Adventures.
If you haven’t seen the show, please check it out. Its only maybe once a year that you might see me on tv hunting. Most of the time, I’m behind the camera. And I’m perfectly fine with that. Over the course of several shows, you may see Bill or another T.P. Outdoors personality taking a deer or something more crazy like gator hunting or catfish grabbing, but the majority of what you will see is what we call a Pay-It-Forward Adventure. You will see far more of Bill taking an injured veteran fishing or a disabled kid hunting than bill killing yet another deer.
You see, taking another person hunting and especially someone that is not as fortunate to have grown up in the outdoors is far more rewarding than killing another deer. Don’t get me wrong, I love to hunt but once you’ve taken one deer, your next deer isn’t quite as special. Then you start hunting a special deer. Maybe its a thick 8 point or a wide 10 point you have been chasing. You my hunt him for 2-3 years before you get him. Thats special for sure, but the reward of putting the gun in someone else’s hand, focusing on serving another person, and working hard to make sure that their hunt is special for them, now that is an amazing experience. Seeing the other person actually make that happen is surreal. Now try to capture that on video. Thats what T.P. Outdoors Adventures is about to me.
Its only part of what I do, but as I’ve done more and more of it, its the part I live for. I almost feel like its a nonofficial ministry of sorts because I get to show the love of Christ to the people I hunt with by serving them. I mean, thats what Christ did right? Christ didn’t come and shout “look at me, look at me” everywhere he went. He had tons of followers for sure and he was outspoken yes, but he was always teaching and serving others.
Now you might say, “wow that sounds like a lot of fun and a noble cause, but does that pay the bills?” No. Not entirely. I have other projects.
Havoc Boats
Havoc Boats has been a client for a long time. All of their current videos and marketing materials like their website and brochures have been produced by Riverbank Products.
We even did the early CAD drawings for the first Havoc boats. Based on those drawings, we showed that it would be difficult, yet not impossible, to create the side profile that is unique to the havoc hull profile. This latter came into play as the boats entered production phase and Havoc worked to ensure that the profile worked from one boat to the next.
I don’t want to steal any thunder or recognition from Tim Scott. The cult following that Tim has generated and the boats that he builds makes it an easy sell. I’m just one guy who has helped out along the way. Check out Havoc Boats at a dealer near you.
Support For Our Veterans
The very first episode of T.P. Outdoors Adventures that Bill Petrus asked me to help film was with an event for Warrior Hunts. Warrior Hunts is a non-profit organization that helps get post 9-11 combat veterans outdoors through hunting and fishing weekends.
The event that we were filming on that first episode was dubbed Deerpocalypse. Warriors from all over came to north Louisiana with one task in mind, Hunt Deer. I got the privilege of filming and working with several warriors that weekend which also happened to be on the anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It was a special time and I’m not sure who had more fun, me or the warriors.
Since then, Riverbank Products has filmed numerous events with Warrior Hunts. I’ve been working with John Nolan, the director of Warrior Hunts to help promote the organization and build it into a bigger, more sustainable non-profit. For more information about Warrior Hunts and to stay up-to-date on future events, Like their Facebook Page.
While Riverbank Products is most involved with Warrior Hunts, we have also worked with other organizations as well. One such organization is Wounded War Heroes.
Through T.P. Outdoors Adventures, we have filmed several events with Wounded War Heroes. One of the most memorable was a south Texas turkey hunt with Matt Cole and Chuck Williams. Both warriors were able to complete their grand slam on this trip. It was an amazing hunt.
After the hunt photos are common practice in the outdoors. On this, the final day of the hunt, Matt finally made it happen. It was an afternoon hunt and by the time everyone got back to camp, Light was fading fast. Now, Texas sunsets are some of the most beautiful sunsets the eye can behold. This one was one of those and there wasn’t much time.
I saw this scene unfolding and ripening faster than an old banana. As the sun seemed to speed its descent toward the horizon, and with only seconds to capture the essence of the hunt, I knelt down, backed everyone up, and grabbed this shot. Wounded War Heroes now uses photos from that hunt in many of their promotional materials.
Another group is called Lone Star Warriors Outdoors. I got the chance to meet Chris Gill, the organizations director, during a hunt with Warrior Hunts. We shared a blind together during Doepocalypse weekend. Although Chris didn’t get to harvest a deer, we did have a great time and he shared with me a little about what Lone Star Warriors Outdoors was doing to support veterans who were returning home.
In december of last year, Approximately 20 veterans converged on ranches around San Angelo Texas for a deer hunt. Most thought they would be roughing it with white bread and porknbeans. What they found when they got there was accommodations, meals, that blew their minds. Not only that, but they were supplied with every pice of hunting gear they would need sans socks and underwear. To say they were treated like royalty is an understatement.
I was able to tag along with Jose Martinez. Jose was injured during combat, but that hasn’t stopped him. He was able to successfully complete a dream hunt that weekend. The Emotions that flooded the blind after that, are off the charts. Check it out in the video below.
Other Projects
You’ve probably heard the phrase “never trust a skinny cook.” Well, I always say never trust anyone who doesn’t like to eat. I’m here to tell you that I like to eat. I may be thin, but don’t let that fool you. I don’t just like any food though. No blan banquet food here.
One of my favorites is pork. Whether its thick slice bacon or slow smoked porked butt, hard to beat pork. There is not a bad day that can’t be at least helped with bbq pulled pork. I mean think about it. Here in the south, someone dies and while the family is mourning the loss of great aunt suki everyone from miles around shows up at the house with bbq pork and baked beans with extra bacon.
As a pork eating crusader, My secret weapon of choice when it comes to doing battle with a pork butt is a product I launched a couple of years ago called Bayed up BBQ Rub. This seasoning blend is fantastic on pork and a lot of other stuff as well. Its great on chicken and burgers or even just to add a little kick to popcorn or eggs. But, what this seasoning was really made for is WILD HOGS. Of course you don’t have to use wild hogs but if you have hogs on your property, you need to try this seasoning. You’ll be happy you did.
Here to Help
These are just a few of the things I’m involved with. I’ve also done commercials and corporate work for various companies. I’ve filmed events of all sorts, even a few weddings here and there.
Essentially, I love helping others and I’m here to help. When I first started Riverbank Products, the Night Runner Lights was the very first product that I developed and marketed on my own. It was also at that time that I adopted Mathew 5:16 as my mission statement for Riverbank Products.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Mathew 5:16
Sometimes “christian run” businesses seem to flaunt a christian symbol and then run their business in a completely opposite direction. I make no bones about the fact that God is the center of my business, but I’m often cautions of how I portray that fact. I don’t want to ever take advantage of others and I hope that through helping other people, Christ will be shown in a mighty and graceful way.
